Don’t try sneaking a camera into the massive Ducati Motorcycle Factory in Bologna, Italy! You’re free to take snaps in their fantastic museum … but the factory is another story. When you take the guided tour, any camera lens must be covered by an unmistakable sticker!
The Ducati Motorcycle Factory is a brilliant example of modern manufacturing. The production lines are slick, efficient but ‘human-scaled’. The workers obviously take great pride in making the fabulous Italian bikes. We could trace the process from the initial trolleys of parts to the final (raucous) testing of the finished bike.
Deep inside the factory is a special sealed section where the racing division do Ducati’s research and development. We managed a brief peak only when a worker came out the door. Easy to see why cameras are banned!
